Coming from a town south of Ottawa I often forget the kind of cold that envelopes the Nation’s Capital in winter. This year I didn’t bring warm enough clothes, so I found yarn with wool, silk, and mohair, and whipped up these mitts to keep my fingers toasty.
This is fairly loosely knit mitten that I use overtop of a light glove to keep my hands extra warm. If you want a tighter weave you could go up a mitt size, and down a needle size.
The striping colours of this yarn make it difficult to match on both mittens. I suggest enjoying the randomness!
Keep an eye on my design page…I have almost half a ball left just itching for a project to go with the mitts. Hint: my ears are still a little cold!
